Two TPS Fellows receive grant funding through the SEEDS competitive grants program

The Translational Plant Sciences (TPS) graduate program is pleased to announce that two TPS fellows were awarded funded through this year’s SEEDS: The OARDC Research Enhancement Competitive Grants Program

Katie D’Amico (TPS Fellow, Bonello lab), along with Emile Gluck-Thaler (Plant Pathology, Slot lab) received $10,000.00 for their project titled Simultaneous transcriptome analysis of the sudden oak death pathogen Phytophthora ramorum and its host, Quercus agrifolia.

Bill Rolling (TPS Fellow, McHale lab) received $5,000.00 for his project titled Identifying a quantitative resistance gene for Phytophthora Rot resistance in soybean.
