Fourth year TPS fellow Ashley Yates participated in the Entomological Society of America’s Student Symposium during the 2017 annual meeting. The theme of the symposium focused on collaboration in science. Ashley presented about her experience in the Translational Plant Sciences (TPS) graduate program at The Ohio State University. TPS is a novel, interdisciplinary graduate program designed for students interested in careers beyond academia. With a focus on rigorous research and practical experience, TPS fellows benefit from a compact curriculum, internship experience, and opportunities for global collaborations.
