The Translational Plant Sciences Graduate Program is pleased to announce that 2019 graduate Bill Rolling will soon be starting a new position as an USDA-ARS Post-doctoral Research Associate in the Vegetable Crops Research Unit in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, Bill will conduct genome-wide association studies, genomic prediction, and population genetic analyses with large genomic datasets and phenotypic information on economically important carrot traits. Bill will be a part of a team that is developing an expanded carrot database to catalog genomic and phenotypic information of interest for researchers, and to support the application of genomic tools in breeding programs.
