Our congratulations to Katie D'Amico, whose 2016 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research fellowship application, "Effects of drought on disease severity and constitutive and induced defense responses in the Pinus nigra (Arnold) – Diplodia sapinea (Fr.) Fuckel pathosystem" was accorded an Honorable Mention. This is considered a significant national academic achievement.
