AAAS Annual Meeting

February 21, 2017

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) held their annual meeting on February 16-20 in Boston. One of the key focuses of this year's meeting was the change in federal administration and how AAAS and other scientists are reacting.

TPS Graduate Fellow, Alex Turo, was able to attend the event and was featured in an article reviewing the meeting. The article featured several scientists and shared their thoughts, views, and actions regarding the future of scientific research. Turo, is quoted on his ways that he has been "speaking out".

The annual meeting hosted several exhibitors and various opportunities for scientists to share their research and ideas regarding federal science policy.
